Full description

Isla Espíritu Santo shines like a jewel in the Sea of Cortez. Its turquoise waters and rugged cliffs create a vivid landscape. The island sits just off the coast of La Paz, protected as a natural sanctuary. Here, nature sets the rhythm.

Your adventure begins with a hotel pickup in central La Paz. After a quick check-in, you walk to the pier. A sturdy 35-foot boat awaits, equipped with coolers and a bathroom. The sea breeze greets you as you set out across sparkling blue water.

The first stop is San Rafaelito. Playful sea lions glide through the water. You slip on your snorkel and join them. Their sleek bodies dart and twirl, inviting you into their world. This encounter is only available from September to May, when the sea lions are present and the water is clear.

Next, the boat heads to El Corralito beach. The sand is soft and white. Coral reefs shimmer beneath the surface. Bright fish dart among the rocks. You swim and snorkel in the gentle current, surrounded by color and light.

Lunch is served on the boat. Local fish ceviche, ham and cheese sandwiches, and cold drinks refresh you. The flavors are simple and fresh, matching the setting.

Keep your eyes on the horizon. Dolphins leap in the distance. Sometimes, whales or whale sharks appear, their massive forms gliding just below the surface. Sea turtles and seabirds add to the spectacle.

The final stop is Playa Balandra. This beach is famous across Mexico. Its calm, shallow waters glow in shades of blue and green. The mushroom-shaped rock stands as a natural sculpture. You walk along the shore, take photos, and soak in the beauty.

The tour lasts about six hours. It includes all snorkeling equipment, life jackets, and a bilingual guide. Permits for the protected area are included. The boat has a bathroom for comfort. You bring a change of clothes, a towel, biodegradable sunscreen, and beachwear.

This experience is not suitable for pregnant travelers, people with back or mobility problems, or wheelchair users. Weather can affect the schedule, so flexibility is key.

Isla Espíritu Santo is more than a tour. It is a deep connection with wild nature. Here, you find peace, adventure, and memories that last a lifetime1

Wonderful experience!!

Amazing landscape! It’s a great tour, you can go with friend or alone because the guide is super friendly and explains so good to fish, swim and snorkel. Help you with the equipment and the instructions to have a fun day in the boat and in the sea. We fished a big, big fish and it was…wow! Can get photos super cute and enjoy the sunset.

Aamazing, Unforgettable Experience!

This was a wonderful experience! Our guide and our captain were great! We saw lots of dolphins, swam with sealions, saw and learned about protected beaches, saw a Blue-footed Booby, and had lunch under canopies on Espiritu Santo. It was unforgettable. We took so many pictures to share with our family and friends. Thanks for such good memories.

Take this tour even with young ones

We showed up at the meeting place and it turned out to be the wrong area. Thankfully our crew did everything we needed to make it right. Once on the boat Hazel, Alan and our captain Juan did everything they could to take care of us. The islands were spectacular. The beaches were unbelievably beautiful. We snorkeled some areas that rivaled Cabo Pulmo and our lunch was very good. We would definitely do this trip again. What a great day
