## Where La Paz pearls are grown today

For centuries La Paz was known for the pearls of the Gulf of California. This guided visit takes you to a working pearl farm to see how that story continues today, from the oysters in the water to the finished jewel.

Your guide explains the history of pearls in the region and how modern pearl culturing works, and you visit the lab where the oysters are cared for. Along the way you see live marine life up close: pearl oysters, crabs, urchins, starfish and fish.

The visit ends with free time in the on-site pearl shop, where you can compare the different types of pearls and buy authentic pieces grown at the farm. An easy, relaxed experience for couples, families and anyone curious about the sea.

## Meeting point

If you add transportation, we pick you up at your hotel or vacation rental in La Paz; the pickup time is confirmed in your booking email. If you arrive on your own, we send you the location of the pearl farm when we confirm your booking.
