If Balandra is the beach that makes every list, Tecolote is the one people remember once they've seen both. More open, more spontaneous. Beachfront seafood palapas, crystal-clear Gulf of California water, and a direct view of Espíritu Santo Island that turns otherworldly at sunset. It doesn't have Balandra's mushroom rock or still water — it has something different: atmosphere, local flavor, and the kind of day-ending stretch a good trip deserves.

### What you'll find at Tecolote

**The water.** More open than Balandra — the Gulf comes in with more force. Great for swimming, paddleboarding, or kayaking with the sea in motion.

**The view.** From Tecolote you see Espíritu Santo Island in full — the red cliffs, the shape of the island, the water shifting color with the light. It's the only beach where you can see it this close from land.
